Riding routes

Shropshire is a stunning county to ride in, with extensive uplands and far reaching views from the Clee Hills in the south, to the Long Mynd and the Stiperstones to the north.

Shropshire’s Great Outdoors Riding Routes

Shropshire’s Great Outdoors have created leaflets for the circular and the long distance rides, which you can download from the website and are often replicated on the back page of The Portway.

There are a number of promoted long distance routes, such as the Jack Mytton Way, which can be tackled in sections, as well as many circular routes of differing lengths taking in the tremendously varied countryside of Shropshire.

Shropshire Interactive Route Map

Many of these can be linked to create your own routes. Please use the interactive map https://gis.shropshire.gov.uk/greatoutdoors/index.html to see how they connect and to see the other many rights of way across Shropshire.
