Public rights of way research – we need your help

The Government’s U-turn decision to reinstate a cut-off date for public rights of way not on the Definitive Map is a blow to horse riders in England.

A new cut-off date of 1st January 2031 became law last month. The main concern is that the cut-off date will come into effect ahead of the exceptions regulations that safeguard certain rights of way in regular use that are not recorded by the cut-off date.
